Matt Woods

Matt has been training in the martial arts for over 20 years in various disciplines including: American Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, Thai Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Kenpo, Filipino Kali (Inosanto Blend, Atienza, and Sayoc), and Indonesian Pentjak Silat and Cimande.

Matt’s martial arts experience combined with his prior military experience give him a unique view of combatives. Matt’s martial arts focus for the last eight years has been on the Filipino and Indonesian fighting arts. Matt currently holds the rank of Associate Level 1 Instructor in Atienza Kali under the Tuhon Carl Atienza and Apprentice Instructor in SIKAL under Guru Ken Pannell.

Matt is also the SIKAL Georgia Representative and leads the SIKAL Atlanta training group. (Sikal is a blend of elements from various systems of Filipino Kali and Indonesian Pentjak Silat)

Matt has over eight years of child & adult teaching experience and is TUF’s dedicated instructor for our Atienza Kali program.
